Iain SinclairIncomprehensible hack or literary genius?
Discuss.
His writing in Downriver is so self-absorbed that borders on repulsive. His characters lack motivation. The syntax is at times unbearable.
I can't help comparing the book to London Fields (in fact he refers to Amis as a contemporary in his forword), and Sinclair just doesn't stack up to Amis in any way, shape, or form, so to speak.
Skid, wheelie, barspin, ride backwards. Repeat ad nauseam.
I'm gonna make a fixie video.
This is 4 realz.

I have no good Cotomer Sevis
I was just asked for Internal Wiring Schematics for the following:
a) Engine
b) Generator
c) Control Panel
d) Battery
e) Battery Rack
f) Battery Charger
I want to stab people now.

Custom Tent Poles?
Does anyone know where I can buy tent poles? I'm thinking about building a lightweight yet fullsize tripod, and these seem like a good starting place for the legs. If these don't work, maybe kite spars...

New 911 Targa: It's a hatchback!
Well, basically. They're all four wheel drive too.

Cow-Eating Revisionism
Holocaust revisionists are silly because it is absurd to deny that the Holocaust ocurred. At least they picked something of significance to argue about, though.
D.I.Y. Espresso Machine
In my quest to fix my espresso machine I've come across many people describing the major components found in commercial espresso machines, and how to repair or modify them. Realizing that a wide variety of parts are availabe, I naturally wondered if it would be feasible to assemble them to create my own ideal espresso machine.
Aparrently it may, because this man seems to have done just that.
Hipsters confuse me.
Someone please educate me. What is the explanation for the hipster fascination with dressing up as zombies? I'm guessing it has something to do with the makeup.
DIY Espresso Machine Temperature Controller

For all you Vivace wannabes out there, here are two pages talking about installing a PID (whatever that stands for) in home epsresso machines (both happen to be Rancilio Silvias).

Project
Does anyone have any portable CD players they don't want anymore? I need at least one for an idea I've been contemplating. Actually there are two things I want to try. The only requirement is that they work. Oh, and it would help if you don't want money for them.
Google vs Nasa
So google released Google Earth on tuesday... Has anyone tried it out yet? I haven't had the chance yet, but I'm kind of curious because it looks exactly the same as NASA's WorldWind.
I tried it.

Bug me no more
While getting a user/pass from bugmenot, i noticed their "NY Times recommends bugmenot" link.
I especially like the bit about stuffing return envelopes with pieces of sheetmetal.
Also, while I'm strongly in favor of the short/tall/grande system, the Lincoln Park shirt sounds pretty amusing.
Blah blah blah...
As my laptop overheated and shut itself off, I found that my coffee had grown cold and nasty. Then it hit me, like a Steinway falling out the window of a fourth story studio apartment.
